Hello, I’m Kerry

Counselling that feels human—not clinical.

Kerry, counsellor at Younique Therapies

You may be used to being the strong one, looking after everybody else while your own needs slip further down the list. Or perhaps life looks fine from the outside, but inside you feel anxious, lost or exhausted.

My approach is warm, honest and gently curious. There is no judgement and no pressure to be anything other than yourself. Together, we can make sense of what you are carrying and find a way forward that belongs to you.

Face-to-face in Consett

A calm, private space to pause.

Sessions take place in my comfortable counselling room at Consett Innovation Centre. It is a quiet, welcoming space where you can settle in, take a breath and talk without judgement.

You are more than the thing that brought you here.

We will look beyond labels and symptoms, making room for your whole story.

01

Anxiety & overwhelm

A calm space to understand what is happening beneath the worry, overthinking and feeling of being constantly on alert.

02

Grief, loss & change

Gentle support through bereavement, complicated loss and the changes that can leave life feeling unfamiliar.

03

Relationships & self-worth

Explore patterns, boundaries, attachment and the experiences that have shaped how you see yourself and others.

04

Neurodiversity

Neuro-affirming support for adults exploring ADHD, autism, masking, late identification and sensory overwhelm.

A different kind of therapy space

No jargon. No judgement. No need to pretend.

Therapy does not have to feel formal or intimidating. You can bring the tangled thoughts, the tears, the humour, the silences—and we will work from there.

01

Your pace

We will not rush into parts of your story before you feel ready.

02

Your voice

You are the expert on your own life. Therapy is something we do together.

03

Your whole self

All parts of you are welcome, including the ones you have learned to hide.

Questions are welcome

A few things you might be wondering.

What happens in the first session?+

We will take things at your pace. It is a chance to talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you hope might change, and whether working together feels right.

Do you offer online counselling?+

Yes. Sessions are available face-to-face in Consett, online through Microsoft Teams, or by telephone.

How long is each session?+

Individual counselling sessions last 50 minutes. We will agree a regular time that works for us both.

Do I need to know exactly what to talk about?+

Not at all. You can arrive exactly as you are—even if you feel muddled, unsure where to begin, or simply know that something does not feel right.

Ready when you are

You don’t have to carry it alone.

If something here has connected with you, you are welcome to get in touch. Simply let me know whether you prefer face-to-face, online or telephone counselling, and which days or times tend to work for you.
